There is zero credible evidence that Ukraine lost 70k troops at Avdiivka. Zero. None. And there IS ample evidence of Russia's failed wave after wave, entire columns of Russian armor destroyed. Russia's losses at Avdiivka have been even worse than their losses at Vuhledar. And from what I've seen it's been worse than 4:1 losses compared to Ukraine's losses. Every meter of gain has been coming at unsustainable cost to Russia.

You might want to try reading sentence #2 again. I'll take alternative casualty counts for Ukraine in Bakhmut if you have them.

Overall this war is a tragedy for both countries.
I know most people don’t care about Russia but it’s a good place despite all the horrible leadership it had to endure, so I feel for the civilians who weren’t supportive of the war.
And of course the tragedy of Ukraine doesn’t need any explaining.

All that matters is: did Ukraine push out the Russian troops and reclaim their territory. Right now the answer is "no".
Russian losses are not material. They have 3x the population of Ukraine and will conscript that last poor SOB to win this war. Also technology doesn't matter. Russia is succeeding in maintaining its occupation with low-tech 1950's artillery and human wave attacks.
