Seriously. Rest of the world thinks of UVA is just another state school, akin to the University of Georgias and Penn States of the world. UVA boosters will aggressively claim that it's better than any private school in the country save for half of the Ivies, and belittle all who disagree with them in the same breath. UVA is overrated as a top public university. It has no business being mentioned in the same breath as Berkeley, UCLA, and Michigan. It’s simply uniformly strong across the full spectrum of disciplines as the above schools. It is losing ground to other universities such as Florida, UNC, and Texas. It is not a top 25 university, so it can’t possibly be overrated.
