One of two things would have to happen.
1. TSJ buys BRYC, a large multi-sport club.
2. BRYC buys TSJ’s controlling interests in the soccer club
BRYC could try and hire away TSJ’s coaching staff in hopes that they bring their players but that would likely violate a non-compete clause in their contracts.
BRYC isn't buying anything. Buying it with what?
Cant imagine BRYC buying STJ soccer piece and cant imagine St. James buying BRYC. There could be a way to merge teams, STJ/FCV have coaches and good players, BRYC has the league. When coaches contracts are up at STJ I could see them looking around either locally or somewhere else, and I think current FCV players would follow if it was a local move. The coaching move with out a merger seems to make the most sense if it ever were to happen.
There is no scenario where a merger “makes sense”.
Who collects training fees and who pays the coaches?
BRYC is a non-profit and TSJ is a profit.
It isn't happening.
Does anyone think BRYC has capital to buy another club? Maybe they should IPO for funds to do this? Lol.

This was already discussed. They were and got kicked out for playing teams up
ECNL R is the Virginia NPL. You need boys and girls teams to play in it and FCV withdrew because of the weak boys program and getting beat 2 digits every time. If FCV would not have withdrawn they probably would have been kicked out for the stated reason but regional league definitely not an option for FCV teams.
yea sad.Anonymous wrote:The TSJ purchase is looking more and more like a lame duck. It never made much sense to begin with and now a couple of years into it there has been no observable synergy. Outside of new uniforms the teams don't get to really use the facility to it's advantages, either in field house or strength and conditioning.
The ownership of a soccer club just begs the question, “why”?
New ownership has likely handcuffed the club from making moves like potential mergers to difficult.

Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:It makes sense if Arlington boys are staying with ECNL. They like all-in clubs. That probably is one reason FCV won’t get it as they are really only about the girls.
Fcv is getting in. You will see.
You think due to the SJ facility or some BRYC merger? That I could possibly see. Otherwise, why else would they get in? Anyhow, don’t mind if they do and my kid would welcome the competition. Sad that FCV doesn’t play more local teams.
