What exactly was the threat? If you're going to make an assertion like that, please at least TRY to back it up.

Do you try to silence conversation on other subjects, or just Karenism?

Oh, now calling people out for being racist a-holes is "stooping so low"? Or using the term "Karen"?

- a white lady named Karen

PP here and racist a-holes are clearly the bigger problem here. But to answer your question, yes, I do think it sucks to paint all "Karens" with the same brush.

I don't care who gets nauseated by those who allow for the possibility of more to this story. There are too many people ready to judge others based on snippets of videos snapped on a cell phone. And why not do it - the lemmings are always ready to spring into action to ruin someone's life in the name of racial justice. At least she's a grown up and not a kid, but still.

Never let the words "I'm not a racist" come out of your mouth again. You're an unabashed white supremacy apologist. And if you don't like hearing that, you should examine yourself. What exactly would serve as sufficient evidence of racism for you? Nothing short of a white hood I'm sure.

He was head of the Harvard ornithological society, and an editor for Marvel comics. You really think this is a threatening guy who's sneakily threatening hysterical white women whenever he gets the chance?!

Asking someone to put their dog on a leash is not gaslighting, no matter how much you wish it to be true. And, frankly, she’s admitted to what she’s been accused of. How inconvenient for your narrative.

I'll have to take Karen's word for it. She didn't mention that there was more to the story. She seems like someone who would let the world know if there was more...but there wasn't. Case closed.

There is no "more" to the story. She has apologized and not offered any "more." Only racist white supremacists are frantically searching for some kind of rationale for this woman's grotesque display of entitlement.

Anonymous wrote:I think she will sue and win against her employer the bank. (Maybe they don’t care and glad she’s gone) Yes she comes across as an entitled b***ch. Yes she broke a minor law by not having her dog properly leased.
However she was approached by a in her mind hostile stranger who threatened her dog. She panicked and called 911 and said a bunch of things she shouldn’t have. But no one can really determine what happened the entire time or to what extent she felt threatened. She owns her own emotions (not that she admits fault but that her emotions are her property)
Therefore the bank her employer should not have fired her based on a Twitter/ media storm. It will be a quiet payout.

You are delusional. She was not approached by a hostile stranger who threatened her dog. She was approached by a board member of the Audobon Society who asked her to put a leash on her dog in an area reserved for the preservation of natural bird habitats and had signs labeled that leashes were required. She refused and he said that he would offer the dog treats to show that she did not have the dog under control. She panicked and compounded her problems of breaking the law by having her dog unleashed, with another illegal action. She then called the police and falsified a police record by fabricating threats and an attack on her dog and herself and then added in the reprehensible race bigotry which could make the misdemeanor into a felony hate crime. This was video-recorded and she cannot deny that she fabricated the report to the police. She is also guilty of slandering the victim. In addition, she has admitted by her public apology this morning that her own actions were unacceptable and she fully apologized for the incident. With all of that, she has no grounds for any wrongful termination claims and would lose any such claims.

With a treat?

So scary!

By the way, you can do whatever you need to do to protect yourself from an unleashed dog. I know there are some dog lovers here but if an off leash dog runs at me, I will try to neutralize it by any means.

Calling 911 to report being attacked by a black man? You know that wasn't true, right?

How?

With a treat?

FYI it is generally LEGAL to "threaten" an unleashed dog who is coming towards you, to protect yourself. Pepper spray, some people have shot dogs, etc. You can't expect others to predict what a strange animal will do to them.

So even if he did, he would still be completely in the right. LEASH YOUR DAMN DOG.

But you're mad about doggy treats?!
