It might get more educators in the races though

I don't get why Symone's campaign isn't saying.
Well, Priddy has already issued a “not it” statement, so we just have to wait for the rest of them. There’s a clear front runner in my mind just based on other actions.
It’s pretty juvenile to do this “ hint hint “ thing especially when she was so blatantly violating the Hatch Act anyhow,
Munnell did too. I’m sure it was Cristina
My bet is on Terron.

I think the ACDC misjudged how pissed off some people would be by their premature endorsement of an inexperienced candidate with almost no connection to Arlington or its schools. And to now see a frontrunner getting edged out for reasons other than her platform is, well, enough to get me more involved in this race. I’m not feeling at all inclined to vote on party lines for this school board election and I’m not alone.
That's a bit of an over-reaction. First of all, how do you know she was a frontrunner? Have there been polls?
Second, what does a bunch of people being ticked at their premature endorsement of an inexperienced newcomer have to do with Symone dropping out? ACDC didn't force her out - she dropped out. ACDC should have vetted the Hatch Act ruling better in the first place. Actually, in the first place, ACDC should butt out entirely.
Maybe. Maybe not. This may be why it matters which campaign went to the trouble to force her into the independent box. If it wasn’t Cristina, then my irritation with the ACDC is limited to their premature endorsement. That really ticked me off as a parent with kids in APS. If their hand-picked-barely-connected-to-Arlington candidate also helped boot a parent-candidate from the ticket in order to secure a competitive advantage, well then just screw them. I can only assume the ACDC that worked to get her name out there is helping her with strategy. As for how I know she’s a frontrunner, I can only say anecdotally that I have seen her name pop up from a lot of different corners in a very positive light. I don’t have any polling data or anything like that.

But, but- harassment!
