My Senators are gathering support to block all Senate business until McConnell brings the Senate bill that passed unanimously weeks ago to the floor for a new vote.

The funding fight.

The fight where he gave up $25 billion to beg for $5 billion?

Actually isn’t he down to asking for even less now? But we can’t negotiate with terrorists. So hold firm Dems!

Inside the bill that funds IRS/Treasury also has 1.9% pay raise and backpay for furloughed employees. Everyone wants their tax refunds.

Why isn't he asking Mexico for the money?

Some people fail to see that it's all about him. See how he uses his power. Those are the ones that shouldn't be in power.

Ironically, Roger Stone created the "wall" device during the campaign to remind Trump to talk about immigration as a talking point. Only Trump's warped mind transformed it to a real thing.

I’m calling them and telling them not to give into Trump tantrums for something that is a huge waste of my tax dollars and that will cause environmental harm.

No! What a phenomenal waste of money. And I say this as a federal contractor who won’t get backpay.

It was just announced that the President will visit the border on Thursday. So he is clearly in it to win it, and I don’t see the shutdown ending this week.

Anonymous wrote:Fake news today is running interviews with people crying about getting their paychecks delayed. What they fail to say is that these people are crying because they failed to maintain 3 months of emergency funds .

Fake news also fails to mention that these “broke” Feds have tons of options to pay their rent AND their utilities AND for their groceries.

Those options?

1. GET A JOB.
2. Go door-to-door offering to do odd jobs.
3. Head down to 7-11 and be a day laborer, putting the illegals out of business at the same time.
4. Hold a yard sale.
5. Make things and go sell them. Scarves. Cookies. Whatever.
6. Go look for free places like Residence Inn to eat breakfast. Take a container to fill up with eggs, sausage and bagels for lunch. There’s your two meals for the day.
7. Get a payday loan.
8. Tap your home equity.
9. Send your kids into places where people leave cash lying around on tables when they leave. Finders keepers.
10. Find piles of newspapers lying around abandoned. Go to say a Metro station and sell the papers below face value.

These are just TEN ideas for getting by without your paychecks, Feds. Is this work? Yeah. I think our borders are well worth it.
Most are prohibited from working in jobs that conflict with their federal job and most need approval for other types of jobs - which requires their workplace to be open to be able to grant those waivers. Your #1 is not really an option. Many of the others are silly.
