Mater Dei doesn't consider 9/1 as the appropriate age for kids to start school. They consider 3/1 to be their appropriate start date even though they start classes closer to 9/1.

They consider 9/1 from the previous year to 3/1 to be delayed entry students. So while they could have students born after 9/1 of the appropriate year in a class it is most likely those students will be on the younger side of the age range.

Many of their students will be 19 before they graduate high school. They matriculate primarily to GP and Gonzage and a few go to other schools.

Nearly every Mater Dei kid is a reclass. The school likes kids to repeat a grade. That is a fact.

Geez people, just because a team is tall does not mean they are older. Try to think outside the box. On average boys stop growing at age 16. If you're tall your tall at 17/18yo and if your short same story. It's called genetics.

Please see numerous posts on Mater Dei 8th graders who drive themselves to school matriculating to Prep.

19 year olds are allowed to play high school sports. Any person turning 19 after August 30 is allowed to play in any region of the country.

I'm over on fanlax.com and keep seeing the term "PG" and "reclassify". What does PG stand for? And does reclassify mean to effectively transfer to another school being held back a grade?

I was watching Prep's game on stream a few days ago and they looked much taller than the other team. Wouldn't be surprised if they have at least 1 or 2 19 year old kids out there.

Landon va Cardinal Gibbons from North Carolina is probably the best game to watch tomorrow.

Gibbons also plays Bullis the next day.

The IAC invades the WCAC Tuesday and Wednesday. IAC should easily take 3 of 4. Episcopal @ Paul VI could be close.

Tomorrow 4/23
Prep @ St.John's 4PM
SSTAS @ Dematha 4PM
Episcopal @ PaulVI 6PM

4/24
STA @ The Heights

Preps offense was anemic yesterday.

The Hoyas scored 3 goals in the first 6 mins of the game against a freshman keeper, after that they are held 2 goals for the remainder of regulation.

They will need to be able to put up a lot more points against Bullis and St Stephens if they are expected to win those games.

Yes it went into OT but Bullis could have destroyed Landon and played terrible that evening.

I agree with you that Landon and GP were very even yesterday.

Did not say Prep and Landon were even yesterday, said Bullis and Prep will likely be even given the similar outcome of their Landon games. Prep played the worst I have seen them yesterday against Landon, so another similarity (according to you) they share with Bullis. I have never seen Prep miss that many catches and their clearing up the field was terrible yesterday, which I have also never seen them have trouble with. Prep vs. Bullis will be the game to watch and likely the IAC championship at the end of the season.

The IAC is wide open this year. I think bullis, prep, Landon or sssa can all take home the title in May.

So we're supposed to nod in agreement over firing high school coaches but not criticize the idiotic remark. I didn't see any remarks disputing the comment. Go back to fortnite junior and let the adults have the forum.

If Bullis played poorly at home against Landon trying to get their first ever home win against them, that's on them. Bullis is a great team, but Prep or even SSSA could beat them if they get another shot at them. Truly an "anything can happen" season.
