My daughter has loved every minute playing for him, our only regret is not bringing her to play for him earlier. The girls have to work hard but he has fun with them, is an awesome coach and we are very happy.

That team you are talking about has not lost a game since September and is #3 in the country in ECNL so you must watch a lot of games, or does he pout when he wins too?

Parents always say that but the kids always say something different.[/quote]
He is not a perfect coach. He is young (and that should not be an excuse) and we’ve seen growth in his maturity. But, after having multiple kids play a combined 20+ years of travel soccer with almost as many coaches. I can honestly say that I have not experienced a coach more willing to put the time or effort into improving their team / players.
As far as HS ball - what do you want? DA guy says DA is better because they are not taking time off for HS. BRYC gave the girls a choice- and scheduled the non HS girls for several showcases and scrimmages. All but one of the 03s chose club over HS (granted a majority of the team is still in 8th grade).
He is the not the right coach for everyone. He will work the girls hard. He will make them run (a lot). He expects a lot from them and they learn to expect a lot from themselves. He is not the coach for you if you are playing travel soccer to be able to say you are part of a team or if it is your social outlet. If you want to compete and push yourself - you may find that you (and your daughter) like his style.

No doubt he has been successful in getting results on the field. I guess that, along with who his daddy is are why BRYC puts up with his antics. Don't believe that he is maturing because he doesn't think he does anything wrong.
If all you want from your daughter's coach is somebody who will push your kid as hard as possible with no positive feedback and heavy criticism when then fail to meet his expectation, then you will like his style. If you want a coach who is a teacher and mentor who will help your daughter grow as a person as well as a soccer player, you may not like his style.
