But if he had a history of drug and/or alcohol abuse that triggered episodes like that, I can totally get behind asking for a divorce with sole custody.

I wonder if he has any dirt on her that shows her to be an unfit parent? If the rumors about heroin and her own rages are true, then if he brings them out does that make both of them unfit parents and the kids go somewhere else?

They should go live with his parents, obviously.

He's got drug problems, she's crazy. They're probably better apart.
