Ironic how our male dominated patriarchal society allows adoption without the fathers consent

This "connection" you speak of does not exist for everyone, and I'd venture it's actually pretty rare. I am not adopted, but I grew up without extended family. I've met cousins, aunts, uncles, for the first time in my life - it's awkward and strange, and aside from physical resemblances, you would not be able to tell we're related. Even after numerous meetings, they are still total strangers and there's zero connection.
Veronica's father was a stranger, despite being her biological dad. His custody was not deemed valid, whether or not you emotionally disagree. The Capobiancos are her parents.

Does he just keep her room untouched until she is 18 and can come back.
Or does he bag it up and sell/donate it?
Dusten can ask the Capobiancos for advice. They have some experience, when he took Veronica away from them. I believe they kept her room largely untouched.
They were strangers who illegally took the child. Dustin is her biological parent. They took her from him, not the other way around. I hope no one on here ever goes though something like this with there family. It is very easy for this to happen to any one of us or our kids or other relatives.
Dustin was a stranger to Veronica when he took her, at age 2. Genes relate to genetic material, they have nothing to do with emotional and interpersonal relationships. As with all relationships, those things are build over time. Genes don't make people familiar.
Obviously you do not know much about adoption. We did not meet my daughter's grandparents till she was three years old. There was a clear instant connection with them and the grandparents have been a true blessing. He was not a stranger. He was her father. They had not adopted her and took her illegally. He had custody and they refused to return her.

He was a stranger because the "adoptive" family had been fighting Dusten in court for 2 years -DUH!

There are other kids out here in desperate need of a home. Why don't the adoptive parents go find one of those kids.
IMHO, men need to make sure that they don't leave semen laying around in women they are not married to.
They need to wrap it up if they don't want to make a baby.
They need to wrap it up if they don't believe in abortion.
Or here's an idea, how about these poor victimized me be ABSTINENT if they are not married and not ready to deal with the consequences of pregnancy?
If they DO want to be a father, "put a ring on it".

I believe in abstinence as well, but it is not a matter of 'put a ring on it' -- if women are not being raped, they are as responsible for birth control and the ensuing parental responsibilities as well as women.
How bassackwards can you be?
