1. I understand the curiosity. Just ask her mother. If you are friends, I'm sure she wouldn't mind.

2. Because SOME teenagers are ignorant and think that talking loud and cursing makes them cool. No glaring of any kind (from any person, white black young or old) is going to curb the behavior. In fact, it might just make it worse.

Oh my god, I have SO MANY questions!
White woman here who grew up in white neighborhoods surrounded by white neighborhoods and has never had a black friend.

1. I know not to ever touch a black person's hair. But I'd really, REALLY love to. I want to pat it and see how much it pops back up. My white friend adopted an Ethiopian (black) toddler. Would it be horribly wrong the next time she is sitting on my lap to pat her hair? It probably would, right?

2. When I am riding mass transit a group of white or Asian teens can get on and they will talk amongst themselves quietly. But if a group of black teens get on they are super loud and YELLING even when right next to each other. If a white kid did that I could glare at them and they'd quiet down immediately. Why are the black teens yelling? Are they hard of hearing? If a black woman glared at them would they grasp the point to pipe down?

3. What's. With. The Pants. Why do black men think everyone wants to see their underwear? Why do they think belting their jeans just below their ass, around their upper thighs, is a good look? I have been in a hiring position several times, and refuse to hire any black male who shows up for an interview with khakis worn this way.

4. I only ever hear of white people talking about wanting a more diverse circle of friends, but never black people. Do black people seek out diversity?

5. I have noticed that when black people are arguing, they will come up with one phrase or sentence they like and then just keep repeating that one over and over, even if it no longer makes sense in the conversation. Why is that?

Yes there is. Lactose intolerance and found disproportionately in West Africans, which is where most American slaves were from.
