This is the story that keeps on giving. It's wild how much 3rd party video is out there.

Did someone say, oh that's the Titan's NFL coach, I think I'll get a quick video? Then when the story broke, they remembered Vrabel once rented a boat and they found the photo and video in their cell phone photo cache?

They were recognized and both had to sign a rental form with their real names. The coach posed for photos and asked the staff not to post on social media as a courtesy.

She actually was paid pretty well if you believe some of the stories that have come out from this. Let's say 10x

Mike Vrabel makes something like $15M-20M a year. Another coach she is allegedly linked to, Sean Payton, makes $18M a year.

OK so the Patriots dropped the bag for him, but I was thinking more his prior salary. She allegedly was one of the highest paid people at the Athletic, but no way to find out for sure. It's not like they're posting contracts, but similar people get paid in the millions.

I think that rumor she made $1.5M a year is bullsh*t. I'd guess more in the $300K-500K range. But who really knows.

$1.5m is delusional.

She made every bit of $1.5. Not delusion at all.

No. That would be double the salary of the paper's top execs.

It's certainly possible. Maybe the person who took the video thought at the time Vrabel was with his wife.

Unless the baby is his, I find it hard to believe a rich middle aged jock is hooking up with a 7 months pregnant booty call. And "risking it all" - as the kids say - going to sleep with her in public on a boat in the middle of Covid when he's a fairly famous NFL coach.

Very very likely that first kid is his.

Apparently TMZ is sitting on a lot of juicy details they plan to trickle out to keep the story going. This looks like a full-blown relationship, not just an affair.

This story was interesting/scandalous until the paternity of the kids became a question. Now it’s really sad. I feel badly for both families. Absolutely life-altering consequences.

She got fired and is basically unemployable in her old profession.

What more would be done to a male journalist?

The male journalist would be punished more significantly than the female coach...not more significantly than a female journalist in the same situation.
