Middle East Energy Infrastructure Damage Close to $60 Billion

By Irina Slav - Apr 16, 2026, 5:00 PM CDT
War damage to Gulf energy infrastructure could cost up to $58 billion to repair, far higher than earlier estimates, with some facilities taking years to recover.
The disruption is not just financial—prolonged outages will continue to constrain global oil and gas supply, despite markets not fully pricing this in.
Repair efforts face major bottlenecks in equipment and skilled labor, risking wider delays across global energy projects and extending the supply crunch.

Get use to $4-5 gas prices for the next 5-7 years….yeah!

Well the tweet started with a lie when it stated it was the same gas station. It is not. Please look at the signs; they are different. First of all, look at the location of the Diesel. When you have to lie to prove your point, you've already lost.

That was
a) Temporary
b) NOT self inflicted

It was a result of Putin's invasion of Ukraine.

Oh gas prices are going up. All the world’s oil tankers are sitting in the Gulf of Mexico waiting to be filled up. That means US will soon be running out of gas and diesel. Economist are now talking bout a world wide depression.

Talks about rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.

Were those prices a direct result of Biden’s war of choice though

I dont care if it goes to $10. Israel cannot be killing innocent unarmed people with impunity every time the US tries to off ramp. Enough is enough.

That's because the CA state legislature vigorously attacked refineries and gas stations.

Gas stations were required to replace underground storage tanks or close. But the state stopped issuing permits for tank replacements so 500 gas stations closed in CA at the beginning of this year.

CA has has a 60% reduction in gas refineries over the past three decades because environmental regulation. The true reason is to PUSH people into EVs.

So when gas goes to $10 in CA, don't ask other states for more gas. BTW, have you ever seen an EV 18-wheeler delivery truck that requires diesel to move weight???

How many gas refineries does Maryland have?

Meanwhile China just released a $13,000 car with 300 miles. It’s a really nice car.
