They won’t. VDA has 4 current 2010s who are going to be U16 next year. Then 9 current 2011s who will be U15 next year. Because of those moves the current 2012s who will be U15 next year and aren’t staters will likely move elsewhere
The 2012 team’s roster is only 15 so they can absorb 8 or 9 players with only a few cuts. They don’t have to burn the whole team down.
Flame on. Plenty are getting cut.
9 11s+ the SYC outsider, that is 10. Of nobody gets added from these ID sessions, you will be looking at least 6 cuts from the current 12s.
Smart money is on 8 of the 11s at most. They won’t bring both keepers down and they won’t gut the 2011 team if they can’t find good replacements. And word is 3 is of 15 are moving to the 2013s. So 2 to 3 cut barring unknown offers or other departures. Still plenty of spots to compete for from existing 2012 players.
Just because someone is trying out at the new U.S. Soccer age groupings doesn’t mean the offer that they’ll receive is from that age group. I think this was all just to see if teams could be formed with the age grouping but it doesn’t make sense for 2029 grad years (Aug-Dec birthdays in 9th grade) to repeat U15 and get left out of U16 college recruiting.

It seems that most clubs are not seeing as much interest as they had hoped for based ooff of session registrations, including VDA. That hardline they are taking is about to get softer.
Not much turnout from outside surprisingly. The outside players that transferred mid season were there among a lot of 2011s who are probably dropping. That is the VDA roster for 2026/27. The rest was just a show and the whole tryout was kickball and unnecessary dribbling( basically keep dribbling until you lose the ball) Wonder if that is how the teams play.
not much turnout = no arl bags
Its ok to say it. Those girls most likely were extended offers and didn’t have to show up.
The rest of the observation seems harsh. That team will be an interesting team if some players decide not to come down
The narrative of “did not have to show up” is wrong because the known outside players who joined were there. Only Arl bags are then exempt ones?
They were there despite being told they didn’t have to show up.
See. You are trying to tell us that VDA 12s had 30+ players yesterday on the field (majority were 2011s) plus the outside players who did not have to show up? What roster side are we looking at here? 40? Does not make sense. The reality is whoever was there yesterday was there, BP dropped a lot of 11s down and that will be the roster plus few outsiders who already got offers before yesterday’s show. That is all. No more parent rumors making everyone believe the whole DMV is going to VDA.
Truth is roster is set and it is mainly VDA trapped players plus few from
Outside. That will leave a lot of space in the 11s and a lot of FVU bags were spotted in the 11s session
FVU bags spotted in a few places. Think the team is going to lose 5-6.
it makes sense to us soccer.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:The 2011s that have August - December birthdays but are in the 9th grade, what’s the reasoning for playing with next year 9th graders when DD is in the 10th?
Curious to know as well. Make sense for current 2011 8th graders.

just wait until the season. It may feel wrong but when the wins stack up it will feel great. Embrace the darkside of the pitch.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:lol research goes both ways sourpuss. Looking at the team bags in attendance that style of play will likely produce better results than whatever your current team can muster. Which is why you were there.
Nope. Not everyone who was there is desperate. Are you familiar with window shopping?
Oh you mean wasting your time standing around in the rain watching a team you won’t play for? Got it. That’s dumb.
The whole 11s moved down yesterday. The poor younger 12s got annihilated. If your are a 12 arriving at the tryouts, you would think you are in the wrong session LOL
they are ki!!ers. Solid players. I expect parents crying on this board once the reality sets in on how good that team will be. I cant see any defecting to fvu or arl. Expect a changing of the guard next seasonAnonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:I don’t think they all go. How strong is the group of trapped 11’s moving to the 12’s? Were they core/starters?
