Ridiculous that it’s not till July. It’s supposed to be expedited. Union is useless.
You are incorrect on the point about it being expedited.
I think that no matter the outcome of the hearing, there will be an appeal process. I would not count on teleworking regularly anytime soon.

I agree. I do appreciate having a job but if that means I give up every benefit or flexibility so an employer can see me grovel, NO.

Only one in my group at HQ here today including mgmt. I think everyone celebrated 4 weeks by taking today off. I’m unclear how people are burning so much leave though. I get a ton but I’d be out of it by year end if I used 1-2 days per week every week. Are people just like I’ll deal with it then? I’ll quit then? Is no one taking any kind of planned vacation this year? I mean I may quit anyway but I’d rather get a nice vacation payout.
FWIW the people in my group who consistently take amazing vacations just aren’t this year. Or maybe it’s 1 amazing vacation instead of the 3 they typically take. Job uncertainty esp for those whose spouse is also a Fed or Fed adjacent. So I think that frees up like 5-10 days per trip so that’s 5-10 wks where they can take a day off weekly.
I also think people are doing what they have to right now to make this work. If they can only make it work using a ton of leave and they start running low, maybe they try to go part time or start looking for another job. I carried over max. Have a time off award and a small bank of credit hours. Plus I have a ton of sick leave. Maybe over time I can figure out how to use less leave. For now I have been stuck with middle of the day appointments I can’t reschedule — but will schedule the next one at a better time.
And this won’t be forever. It just won’t. I don’t know how long it will be but at some point regular telework will come back.
+1. This is my exact situation. I plan to go part time in October if there isn't any flexibility by then.
Don’t go part time until all the restructuring is done and DOGE leaves. In a RIF part time is first to go.
