Maybe the new principal doesn’t want so many transfers from within FCPS. He can do new hires over the summer too you know.
I sure hope so but why did he wait until summer to hire? If you wait until summer, you have slim pickings. You are reliant on what's leftover from the college grad pool that no one else has hired and people that may be relocating to the very expensive area. Am I wrong?

A principal can’t interview or hire until the current employee has actually put in paperwork that they are leaving. Many teachers wait until the literal last minute. And in this teacher shortage era, many put in their notice after the deadline and still get hired in neighboring counties. It’s possible that these employees didn’t turn in notice “until the summer” so the interviews can’t happen “until the summer.”

My guess is there won’t be since he is hiring the 24 new members himself. They won’t have any expectation of what the job was like under the previous administration.
