The whole story of boomers is getting benefits and then pulling up the ladder behind them. Everything from college affordability to help raising children.

Yep. This is my inlaws to a T. They had tons of childcare help and didn't have to save for college because my FIL's parents paid for all the grandkids college. My inlaws actually have significantly more money than FIL's parents, because they sold the business that my grandfather in law built. Yet they do not help with childcare, or their grandkids college, or anything else. If we meet for dinner somewhere casual, they are SURE to tell the waiter we need separate checks.

Same with my ILs. The dinner thing is particularly irritating because they are so picky with choosing where we eat.

The childcare problem is created by the greed of living far beyond your means. If you want children then you need to be absolutely certain that you can (1) pay for outside childcare. Or (2,) one of you stays home and you live in one salary.

If you are stupid enough to have a child on your own then you better be sure that you can pay for childcare.

Childcare is the sole responsibility of the two people who create the child! If your use a donor then it is the sole responsibility of the woman who chooses this options. Unpaid childcare from relatives is not an option.

Right, they are totally entitled millennials that will never be happy!

Boomer parents are screwed no matter what they do, if they quit work to care for the grandchildren they won't be able to pay for the same grandchildren to go to college. I guess they could sell their homes to pay for it, I doubt their selfish kids will let them move in though!

I call BS to this. My oldest is 18, youngest is 11. It cost the same for childcare when they both needed it. Maybe the difference is that I couldn't work as much as I wanted because it just wasn't worth it. The biggest issue is why anyone would think their parents should help. My very young MIL was working full time (80 hours a week) when my first was born, there was no way she could help out, my retired parents live 6 hours away. Did I complain about the lack of help, no. Why? Because I WANTED KIDS, they didn't force me, they didn't ask for grandchildren.

Knowing that my poor grandchildren are horrible feral, whiny, greedy brats who tear around my house, Thank You For going elsewhere. I just need to point out, while it’s a very documented historical phenomena for older generations to complain about younger generations “kids these days!”

I honestly don’t think there’s another example of cross generation hate against boomers. Whether you’re Gen X, Millenials, Gen Z and even some BOOMERS THEMSELVES Really seems like everyone complaining about boomers.

So rather than roll your eyes, maybe other boomers can ask “What can I do to help fix things before I die in at most another decade or two “
