She was also not at the Diana statue unveiling. Maybe pass that because it’s public but why wouldn’t you be with your husband with his grandmother dying? Sophie and Camilla were there.
Because the Queen was already dead and they had just dropped the children off for the first day of school. She needed to be there to pick them up and be with them for all of the stuff that is about to follow. With the exception of William and Harry - who were/were now about to be the children of a King — no other grandchildren or great-grandchildren were there. It’s not nefarious - this is part of a very-long planned out national event which it sounds like moved very quickly and didn’t have as much notice as people had presumed would happen.

I wonder...will they ever disclose her actual cause of death?
I’m guessing congested heart failure.

If your great/grandmother dies or is dying, no one I know would send the kids to school anyway. Seems cold especially when the news would have broken out among their classmates (George is 9) with phones. The fact that she then waited all day to do a pap school run? It’s weird.
DP. So you think they take the kids to school every day? You think they are just SAHMs running around their kids schedules? I guess the staff the size of an army does nothing all day? Get real. When the queen died the staff had a written plan(it was updated 3 times a year)which included what the grandkids are to do.

Not sure she had a legal way to jump over Charles, but yes King William would be much better than King RandomGuy.

If the kids weren’t going to travel, there’s no reason to go get them from the first day of school. I’m sure whatever school they go to is able to handle privacy and they wouldn’t have heard any information ( plus the news that the Queen was seriously ill wasn’t public until the afternoon UK time).
LOL you’re joking right? The woman who rules the entire country dies and you think the kids whose parents bought them $1,000 iPhones didn’t know about it?
Please find a better excuse.
DP. I’m positive this school locked down the information and none of the young elementary kids knew until they were in their own cars heading home.
Do you really think they’d allow second graders to use their phones and scan bbc during circle time?

Wow the delusion. No school can ‘lockdown’ a head of state’s death. Everyone I knew found out about 9-11 within minutes at school and none of the children even had cellphones.
Nobody had to lock down anything. The announcement was made at 6:30 pm UK time. Everyone would have been home from school already. For all we know they held the announcement until the kids had been picked up.
