Russia is losing a lot of equipment and man. Their lose rates are extremely high from the reports I have seen.

You have to take anything coming from Ukrainian sources with a grain of salt. If even half of what they've claimed was true, then Russia wouldn't be on the offensive and NATO wouldn't be cutting bait right now.

The defenders always do better. Russia is trying do something while with the cover provided by republicans and Hamas. Russia needs to show something the wolves are circling.

It’s too late for Russia. Putin is sick, weak, and the Prigozhin mess accelerated everything. Oligarchs and siloviki are unhappy. The replacement will not be better for Russia, but will probably declare victory in Ukraine and withdraw. The war is not sustainable for Russia. Its economy is trashed and it’s running out people to fight.

Why wouldn’t the replacement be better for Russia? Anyone who can negotiate something with the west without paying too much and reopen the Russia markets is better than the current one

The only people close to power are thugs. It’s a mafia state. I would love to be proved wrong on this. Russia had so much potential and it’s been sad watching it be unable to escape its czarist/“communist” history. Putin destroyed it.

It was always the case; do you seriously think Gorby or Yeltsin were democrats? But it doesn’t matter; it’s the institutions that make the rule and not individuals.
In any case, I still insist that anyone willing to make compromise with the west is better for Russia than Putin.
They need to let this war go.

Not a trump voter and don’t want to hijack the thread but I wouldn’t discount him just yet simply due to domestic issues influencing the vote

Yes. More than a 100 tanks in four days. And a 30-50 percent fatality rate. Not winning any wars that way.

This war is a long grind. No side can use air power. Everything gets shot down. Every field is a mine field. And this is an area that stretches for nearly a 1000 km. It's much easier to be on defense under these circumstances so Ukraine probably enjoyed the Russian offensive this week.

The weather is going to be a factor soon. I don't see Ukraine making a major push to the Sea of Azov in the meantime. Presumably the F-16s and the Abrams tanks arrive this winter and things go better in the Spring

Welcome to day 600 of Russia’s 2 day war.

Europe will never be secure until Russia is defeated. But, that is a must: Russia must lose. Russia WILL lose.

Tick tock, Vlad. Your war crimes trial in The Hague awaits.

LOL even Armenia is joining the International Criminal Court now. If Putin sets foot in Armenia he will be arrested.

So much winning for the Russian genius Vladimir Vladimirovich!

Whoops for Putin. The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe recognized Putin to be a dictator, and that it is illegitimate to recognize him as a democratic ruler of the Russian Federation.
