I am appalled that the national right wing groups have pushed recalling school board members around the country as a way to keep up outrage and division to suit their political goals.

If you think it’s a good thing that you’re teamed up with people who want private-school vouchers for their kids and nada for yours, your judgment is highly suspect.
The OpenFCPS folks may include some people who'd try to gut public education under any circumstances, but far more who either speak favorably about things like vouchers to try and nudge FCPS to return to the basics or never bring them up at all because they are invested entirely in the public school system.
Yeah that’s why they’re pushing a PraegerU “patriot pod” lol.
Most supporting the recall petitions would have no idea what you’re referring to here. They only know their School Board members ignore them but listen carefully to everything folks like Kimberly Adams say.
Except that is not what you these members did. It’s just the lies the right wing machine was selling and you bought.
You're not too persuasive. There are few better ways to alienate people than to tell them they are unwitting dupes. In general, the people involved with OpenFCPS are among the better informed parents in the county. But good luck leveraging your strategy as the recall petitions move forward and the 2023 elections approach.
The SB defenders are turning out to be worse then the SB itself.
I worked in National Democratic politics for a decade, was a political appointee in the Obama administration and fully support the recall of the school board. Instead of telling me why the SB deserves to finish their term the first reaction from Fairfax Dems is "WELL ACTUALLY you just don't understand the issue" Or "you are being brain washed" or "You are a secret Republican". It's a moronic response and shows that they have no actual reason to support the SB other then blind partisanship.
To me the hallmark of a healthy democratic party is a government that runs well and provides for it's citizens. This SB is incapable of providing that and thus I feel they should be removed.

It’s basically videos put out by a conservative organization. No one really takes them seriously apart from very right wingers and very left wingers looking for an outrage fix. Everyone else in the middle ignores it.
Thank you for finally admitting that OpenFCPS isn’t in the middle.
So there is a poster associated with the group who posts links to conservative videos?
BFD. It’s not like the Fairfax Democrats, over 100 of whose core members turned out to applaud a speaker who said “let them die” about those with different political views.

Yes let's be entirely sour and dour in our every communication.

No, the people who actually watch the school board's work sessions have no idea whats going on lol.
Is everything you write this incomprehensible? OpenFCPS parents have watched the work sessions. It's another venue where the incompetence of the School Board is on display. They spend hours demanding answers to various questions, some legitimate and most obscure, and then invariably punt when the answers aren't forthcoming.

Why are you lurking in a FB group that clearly doesn’t interest you and then coming on here to complain anonymously about it? BTW that post has barely any likes and no comments. Don’t assume everyone who is OpenFCPS agrees with each other on everything.
My my, so defensive! It’s almost as if you’re afraid people might see through your ruse and realize what you REALLY stand for.
Yes, I stand for fully opening schools, and replacing most of the inept SB members. As is the stated mission of the group … this isn’t some big conspiracy.
Well, schools are already confirmed to be open and you’ve aligned yourself with people who think PraegerU is a viable alternative to FCPS, so…yeah.
