Nice try this must be a Gonzaga parent trying to stir the pot and lower expectations. I am not a Gonzaga parent the team will put 8-10 D1 commits on the field each game. They won big over the best NOVA public school last Spring. They have talent and a huge roster. With all of that they finish likely third as Dematha lost a lot from last season. PVI Gonzaga and Dematha all have new coaches. SJC is a step above.

Typical response from a Gonzaga parent or booster.

Every team, whether you played in the MIAA, WCAC, IAC had to deal with COVID-related issues last spring from canceled practices, to not having indoor film sessions, to transportation issues to and from games to even having players miss games and practices due to testing positive to Covid.

How bout you just admit, Gonzaga stunk last Spring and had a down year for their standards. We will see this Spring if they bounce back or if it's a downward trend.

What is your basis for thinking Gonzaga will have a very good team this Spring - they were bad last year. And now you throw in a brand new head coach, who has never been a head coach before (albeit he has been a defensive assistant on staff for quite some time). I expect Gonzaga and PVI will battle it out for the 2nd / 3rd spot in the WCAC.

Landon was underclassmen heavy last Spring, several of their leading scorers were freshman, sophomores, and juniors. If they can find a FOGO or have FOGO in the pipeline, they should be pretty damn good.

The IAC will be very interesting to follow this Spring. GP graduated a very senior-laden team as did Bullis last Spring. The Saints bring back virtually everybody who saw significant minutes last Spring. EHS and STA will round out the bottom of the league.

Agree 100%. Gonzaga has a very good team. They are a top 5 if not a top four team.

This a joke or you have an axe to grind. They have an elite goalie, maybe the best offensive player in the area, maybe the best LSM in the area, maybe the best SSDM in the area with another one that is very good, some very good poles committed to great schools. Need to figure out Fogo and create a bit more depth at midfield. GZ will be fine this spring.

Gonzaga Still doesn’t have enough talent to compete with anyone this season. Forget having a chance at challenging sjc prep Landon or bullis , they will struggle to compete against Episcopal, dematha, and STA. There era is over.

GZ has 2 UNCs, Army, Rutgers and several others in 2022 class. Penn, 2 Grown, Army among others in 2023s. They will compete with every team they play this spring.

Not a fan of Gonzaga. They are a top five team in the area. No question. A ton of very good 2022s, 23s and 24s.

No. STA has 4 d1 commits in the 2023 class and Gonzaga only has 1 on its 2023 class. Gonzaga has a very weak team this year.
