No I disagreed with them because I didn't think the image was racist and probably neither did they, but they were too afraid of the woke movement to just forget about it. And it probably wouldn't have hurt their brand because those people probably already were not buying their books. Confirming my opinion Ebay dropped those books too today, which really is bad for their brand because people go there to buy all sorts of old crap that other people don't approve of, far worse stuff than Dr. Seuss.
So I have my reasons, which you knew nothing about. You didn't ask. Of course you didn't. Nobody does. You just called me a name and explained to me some old platitudes about business for the umpteenth time, as if that were my "real" problem.
So if you think my problem is something else rather than exactly what I say, then I'll say your problem is something else too. Your quest for power to stop me from saying it.
And I'll say that until you realize the futility of calling other people idiots to their face every time they open their mouths.
The bolded is the problem.
Yes, that's my point. They dropped the book. I never said they couldn't. But everyone is really upset that I have different opinion about what is racist or not. They can't tell me why it's bad to simply have my own opinion about something. So they call me names. And make up reasons for me to have that opinion because they can't stand that I might have made up my own mind. Just like they think they did.

The PP is pulling our leg or too uneducated for this conversation. It’s okay not to see what the smart people see. If you really need that book, go ahead and buy a copy before it’s off the shelves.

We are doomed as a society. Not because of cancelled culture but because THIS is what we spend our time arguing about.
Anonymous wrote:There is nothing wrong with that book. If you don’t want to read it to your kids, don’t read it.
I would never read this new genre of trans kids books in my home but it would NEVER have occurred to me to try to ban them from publication or sale.

Well the problem with this whole unconscious bias thing. I didn't get the message that white people are dominant in that picture. I got one guy on top, others below and the guys on the bottom happen to be Asian. I can't prove that I did not pick up an unconscious bias, but they can't prove that I did. So how do they know if I did or I didn't?

"The three (and only three) Asian characters who are not wearing conical hats are carrying a White male on their heads in 'If I Ran the Zoo.' The White male is not only on top of, and being carried by, these Asian characters, but he is also holding a gun, illustrating dominance. The text beneath the Asian characters describes them as 'helpers who all wear their eyes at a slant' from 'countries no one can spell,'" the study authors wrote.“
But it’s totally fine! Says OP

Yup, nothing racist here
Subjective standard again. I had that book as a kid. I sure didn't get the message they think I got.
And apparently you are still oblivious as an adult.

So the people who disagree with you didn't make up their own minds? Rich.
