Are there any other private well-resourced schools that had a spike like ND's? The only ones I know who "closed" (meaning shifted to remote instruction) are all large public universities with predominately off-campus populations and therefore unable to be locked down. I just wonder why they had the spike in the first place given they did all the pre-matriculation testing, have all these resources for testing. I think there needs to be more examination of what went wrong there as well as appreciation that they are trying to now solve it.

Super defensive and seems to believe it is capable of something that has not yet been accomplished elsewhere
Why not? Have you seen a curve smashed like this one on a college campus. I know many have just kept numbers down from day one, but this school made a MAJOR comeback. You must give credit where it is due. You are just another naysayer who will be proved wrong...just watch!!
NP and current ND parent here. Yes, they’ve done a great job after the initial spike but it’s too early tell. I wouldn’t declare a “major comeback” until we get to October 1. Hoping they stay on course.
They locked down, hard.
It remains to be seen if they can do what they proposed (i.e. classes and campus life) without it rising up again.
How many colleges are even offering in person classes? Agree thought that the proof will be how they do after this weekend's game.

Why did you not say that internet guy with no knowledge or credentials, and not involved with research, says to just ignore the doctors and researchers who are finding heart defects, lung defects and other issues with those who catch covid even if they have no symptoms. Internet guy guarantees they are all healthy (well except those who die or are sick or have long term health issues). Stupid.

That’s in young, athletic and largely asymptomatic patients. Obviously then things will be worse for older folks who are already impacted by a variety of comorbidity factors.
These studies are a joke because they are looking for conditions. There is always “damage” or “inflammation after any virus. It all works out just fine. Time will tell!!
Inflammation of the heart or myocarditis isn’t a standard viral issue though some virus do cause it and it’s not no big deal!! Can lead to major issues!!
You would be surprised. Lots of inflammation throughout your body from viruses. You just don't now about it because you aren't looking for it. It eventually subsides. Same with covid. But the hysteria will continue unfortunately.
