Have you considered the thought that MU is a place for those who think the DA model is better and aren’t fans of the other two area options? Because I know that’s the truth in at least several cases.

Parent lie about offers.

I see it every season.

Not these parents or kids. They are very good kids and players. Nice try

Rigggghhhttt!

You are wrong as usual. Not surprising.

Considering this is all anonymous, there is only one wrong person

I see parents every year lie and tell people they receive an offer from ___.

Well people and coaches talk and it is too easy to find out.

Also, MU will continue to be a doormat.

Coaches also don't tell their own players that they are actively looking to replace them with outside talent either.

When did BRYC enter the conversation?

When you sit at the bottom like BRYC in every age group except 1, the coaches are always looking for better players. Some clubs are up front about it and open IF the player is willing to have the conversation.

15s 5th of 11 in conference
16s 1st of 11 in conference
17s 3rd of 11 in conference
19s 2nd of 11 in conference

But carry on....

For completeness, the 14's were 7th of 8 in conference with an overall record of 6 wins, 13 losses, 6 ties. Very poor showing but they did beat MD Spirit the last game of the season.

Congrats on THE win.

U13s were 6th of 11

If you're with the club, you know. And if you're not, then you don't need to know.

I love how some troll revives this thread for a little hate post every so many days. And it didn't escape my notice it didn't happen while the FCV thread was blowing up.

What value does it add to your DD if you are already rostered on a non-Metro team. If you are rostered on a Metro team for next year, then you've been part of the discussion and wouldn't be asking like this.

Maybe coaches from the affiliate clubs?

There aren’t any.

New coaches from out of state will be assigned. Players will have to report to an assigned coach.
Not sure why there is so much negativity re: MU

Spirit VA was a new club so it had initial issues attracting talent, things will drastically improve from here on out.
U14/U15 teams have drastically improved as the gals are getting used to how each other play.

Please stop the MU bashing.

We have newly formed teams in the area qualifying for the playoffs in their respective leagues. Why does MU get a pass? They need more than a year to click?

Metro United (MU) other than holding ID sessions for next season has not even begun yet.

I think the fairest assessments of MU next year will be 1) Do their teams next year continue to improve compared to WS this year? (eg U14 WS VA becomes U15 MU) 2) Do their older players continue to have success in the college placement arena? (Ultimately this is more important than rankings/tournament championships or pathway to pros/national teams for most.)

The college placement isn't too relevant considering the 18/19s came in at the 16/17 age groups and were already being recruited by interested teams.

You'll have to look at the 15s & 16s to really tell, but with recruiting slowing down due to the new rules, we won't know for another year.

Despite the many responses on here claiming otherwise, I like to think that very few negative comments about a club are based on the poster's kid not getting an offer. This one definitely is though.
