The actual crisis is the violence and instability in Central America - partly caused the the US. If you have an issue with too many refugees coming to our border then fix the issue.

Thier crises have become our crises because we are not meaningfully addressing the root issues that make Central America one of the most violent and impoverished in the world. No one is talking about helping everyone in the world; we are talking about helping people in Mexico, Honduras, El Salvador, and Guatemala, among other CA countries. Unless we do that, people will keep coming because they are desperate to survive.

That money could have been used here in the U.S. to fight the opioid epidemic, homelessness, etc. But instead, it's been flushed down the toilet. Central Americans will *always* want to come to the U.S. and no amount of aid will change that. I'm tired of giving away billions of dollars to countries that won't use it as intended, and I know many people who feel the same way. Enough is enough.

In both cases, you have people who are poor and in many cases, physically and mentally sick.
