My post was for the person who I thought was going to offer a rebuttal to your statement. Anyways...let me know if I have this right.

FCV is taking over WS-VA in name only. They are really giving it to Reston/Great Falls. The current WS-VA teams will play DA next year in the same manner as it did this year under a new name?

Right Im very confused by all this. I would love my DD to wear the spirit jersey and play top level soccer and maybe.. possibly... have fun?

Nothing is going on except pure speculation. No one is talking like they have true insider information.

But c'mon, the pro head coach is a former FCV coach and the assistant pro coach runs their DA. So it's a legit rumor. LMAO.

Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.

But we all know about this individual's burning hatred of all things Spirit, it's been posted in various forms here for over a year now.

I think it's pure speculation. Straight up, but seriously stop with the whole "it's the same guy, we have one hater and I know who he is" stuff. There are a couple of arrogant pricks who think that to boost themselves up, they have to put others down. You have some ecnl haters who just want the DA to fail. And you have some fcv haters, who are the kobra Kai of youth soccer. Some of those think even on FCV's bench is better than starting anywhere else.

Let's just own it. And some of that we probably brought on ourselves because we oversold WS and didn't own its mistakes.

Let's be adults, even if no one else can be.

I honestly haven’t seen any of this unabashed praise for Spirit.

How many do you actually think are here continually pushing the same junk? My guess is three or fewer.

Given that head coach is from FCV and assistant coach is still running FCV this is a legitimate scenario. One of the assistant DA coaches is also now running the futsal academy for DC United and GM’s daughter is on the 05 DA team, so they are getting their hooks in there as well. FCV is looking to be primary feeder club into both pro clubs.

I suppose if you are on WSVA or thinking about it, you might still be able to play DA in the future, you’ll just be wearing a different jersey.

Sad to hear that WSVA did not make a big impact

FCV primary feeder club to DC United on the boys? Uuuuhhh bartender, I’ll have 3 of whatever he’s having.

Same poster, why do you think Spirit has a choice? Fcv is a club, they’re not making decisions either. There is not an ounce of truth or logic to the above. DCU already has feeders. They’re the area DA’s, not FCV boys circus. While they’re using fcv as a feeder, maybe they can add fpyc and Burke.

Bartender, double that order.

You are uniformed and may believe this is hogwash, but it isn’t. The DCU tie in is a longer ways off and that part of this may never happen given FCV’s current weakness with their boys program, but it will be pursued. The Spirit piece will happen whether it is ultimately fcv’s call or not. You can make things happen without being directly in control. Follow the people and the money. Read Soccer Wire and see who’s running their new futsal academy. Talk to people the run these clubs. Look at their rosters. It is known. Meanwhile, double your own order of self-denial.

It’s a futsal academy, not a development platform. How about this, follow where the players are actually coming from for the DA teams. Follow where they’re sending the younger players in the age groups DCU will no longer field teams in.

Delusional FCV parents. Great girls club. Joke of a boys club. Always will be.

Spirit is also fed by the draft and free agent signings. There isn’t a homegrown system for NWSL.

Please refrain from getting on here talking out of your rear to make your DC’s club look like what you want it to be but never will be no matter how many hashtags you use. Some of us actually know what’s going on.
