That’s nice!

(Add in requisite prayer that the Dems’ ground game is amazing, no one gets complacent, and the GOP doesn’t cheat too hard.)

Surprisingly, that is not true. I thought that, too, a few weeks ago. Since then, I have spoken to two rabid Bama fans who say they are supporting Tuberville.

NC - same as Iowa, worse even for Rs
Arizona - how’s that working for Rs this year?
Georgia - this election is shaky even with Kemp’s thumb on the scale
Texas - return of Beto?
Louisiana - Mitch Landrieu is a force
Montana - didn’t Tester just win there?
Kentucky - Dems will throw $100 million into defeating McConnell
Kansas - didn’t Kobach just lose there?

Seems like a pretty solid map to me. Can’t imagine republicans feel safe in any of those states.

Who could take on Mitch McConnell? Would love to see the end of him.

Money well wasted, IMO. Please consider donating to the following races instead.

KS - Barbara Bollier, who if running against Kris Kobach in the general actually has a real shot at winning

MI - Gary Peters, the incumbent senator who is leading the polls but trailing in fundraising and needs our support

MT - Steve Bullock, who is just about the best candidate to flip this seat

NC - Cal Cunningham; he's polling quite well against Tillis, but needs to catch up to him in cash

AK - Al Gross, who has a great chance to flip a state in what could be the sleeper race of this cycle

AZ - Mark Kelly, but he's actually really well funded now and is likely to be for the rest of the cycle

ME - Sara Gideon, who is catching up fast to Susan Collins in cash

IA - Theresa Greenfield; she's seriously giving Joni Ernst a run for her money

Kentucky is just not coming back to Democrats at the federal level anytime soon. It's great that you're getting financially involved, but just some advice, be sure to look into all the races before tossing your hard-earned dollars somewhere that won't give you the best bang for your buck. I know this race is flashy in the media but donating to defeat McConnell indirectly (ie stripping him of his senate majority position) is an exponentially better use of money.

Doug Jones is toast.

You’re probably right but it’s going to be a lot closer than you think. Enjoy your one flipped Senate seat!

Because conservatives have fewer "must have" issues that they need supported to support the candidate. There are a lot of people who vote solely based on 2A rights and for them there is no other more pressing issue. Same for pro-life. Same for pro-business. There are some who support a few issues that align with the party. And many of them are absolutists. Once they are behind a candidate that supports their issue, they are 100% for that candidate and support that candidate.

Liberals tend to be much more inclusive and have a bigger list of "must haves". They want someone who supports a wide variety of issues from social welfare to minority rights to women's rights, pro-choice, and so on. And it's harder to find a candidate who supports the same broad range of issues as each voter. And liberals are very judgmental about someone who only supports some of their issues, but not all of their issues.

Trump only has to support a few key issues and he'll get that strong 95% rating among his core. Biden has to support all of the issues that his core wants or they waiver in their support for him.

So basically bibles, guns and no-abortions, right?

Dp- yeah. They are pretty basic .
