Not from the UK - my husband is. I have seen lots of invitations, but I cannot remember what they said and I don't recall elaborating on the meal choices in a formal invitation. It has been a while and we are out of the stage in life that all our friends are getting married.

Oh please - no one should ever wear white shoes in or out of season (how ugly!!!) but white pants can look great any time in the right fabric.
