I would have no problem with this! Yes, it's possible the baby could get scratched if she messes with kitty, but honestly, orange cats are great cats, and this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship. My sister and the cat used to backwards spoon at this age - each on their side, facing away from each other, cat stretched down my sister's back. And, yes, I've seen photos! For a newborn it would be heck NO but for this baby at this age? Yup! Just change the crib sheets more often for cat hair reasons. And if you moved that cat while baby sleeps, he's apt to put out his claws and then scratch her - or jump back in, or meow... just leave the cat!
Truly, your baby is old enough. A live cat will absolutely move and since the way the cat sleeps isn't ON the baby then there isn't a weight issue. (not all cats like to be on people - we have 1 who does and 2 others who sleep next but never on us). This is the way one of our cats sleeps with my husband - right next to the face!
