I still see women in their late 70s or 80s all over NYC, sometimes walking with a cane but still with a lipstick and modern sunglasses, looking sharp and stylish.

If I put on shorts or a knee length skirt to "look fashionable," you will be treated with bruises, knee supports, blindingly white legs, and cellulite. My only alternatives to capris are long pants or a long skirt, which I wear to work.
