She's already signaled that she intends to do so. She campaigned with Trayon White, praising him and calling him a mentor. His crime, of course, is accepting bribes to put pressure on the city council to extend the contract of violence interruptors.

He's also pretty blatantly anti-Semitic (and not in a Palestinians deserve basic human rights kinda way).

Reading that she called him a mentor made me ill.

She has concern, but not for the residents. I once reached out to her office because a frighteningly mentally unwell person pitched a tent on a scrap of park land near my house and was screaming, literally screaming, every minute of the day. JLG sent a person from her office to give her a blanket.

The next day after screaming at and chasing the middle schoolers walking to school in the morning, she physically attacked one and the finally police took her away. But at least she was comfy!

What a perfect encapsulation of what is wrong with DC's progressives---it's like when Brianne told the apartment dwellers in the U Street area that they needed to soundproof their apartments (just how exactly?) instead of her agreeing to advocate for enforcement of existing laws against ATVers. There is a overwhelming lack of concern for quality of life issues for DC residents in general---the progressives only care about the poorest, most criminal, most addicted and most mentally unwell. And any statement that maybe, just maybe, it is not okay for anti-social behaviors to be tolerated is met with accusations that you are racist, classist, etc. The progressives have lost the plot that they actually represent everyone---not just the marginalized.
