RIP to the Democratic Party. This is the best the brain trust could come up with?
Haha! You are so clever. Is this the best you could come up with?

I mean, it's resonating with voters. I agree with whomever said upthread that this is an "Emperor has no clothes" type of moment. Trump's cult has been alienating regular Americans for a long time, but we've all been kind of quietly watching and hoping they'll go away.
But now that we have broken the seal, there's just so much to talk about.
+1 Also, the worst thing you can do to a bully is laugh at them.
At risk of being earnest on DCUM, there's actual political science research and international best practice to call on here. Along with voter mobilization and nonviolent protests, one of the most effective tools for combating autocrats is to make them look ridiculous. Autocrats and aspirant autocrats often are ridiculous, in part because they have purged anyone from the inner circle who might tell them that attacking "cat ladies" is a losing proposition, and that showing off your gold plated toilet is just weird.
The legitimacy of an autocrat-aspirant is their perceived strength. If you can poke holes in that, they are left with nothing.

They are seriously a bunch of 7th graders. That’s the extent of their maturity.
Is this your guy?

From the party that thinks the guy who coined “little Marco” and “sleepy Joe” is a leading light, your attempted insult doesn’t land.
IDK; knowing now what we all know about President Biden’s deteriorating mental condition, the whole sleepy joe thing wasn’t too far off.
He fell asleep at his criminal trial and during his own convention. Call me a little out there, but I think it’s kind of weird not to be able to stay away for that kind of thing.

I don't even care if it "obviously bothers" Republicans. It's just the accurate term to use. Trump and Vance are weird, bizarre, out of step with normal Americans. It can make them entertaining to watch on reality TV, but fewer people want to get a beer with the weirdo candidate or have weird men represent us to the world.
