There have been over 300 car crashes since the "Option C" was announced by the mayor. How much police time and traffic tie ups did those crashes cause?
300 out of millions of car trips?

Too bad the facts do not support the union's letter. At all.

The police are traffic engineers now?
Right? What do the police know about public safety.
Given that we have more police per capita for any major city and a crime wave not replicated in other cities, we can safely conclude that they don't know much.
This is clearly a difficult day for you.
With DC facing a hemorrhaging revenue situation, residents feeling that DC elected officials need to prioritize reducing crime asap and improving failing schools over other projects, and now with MPD officers opposed, Conn Ave bike lanes just aren't going to happen. At least not in this decade, if ever.
+1. It’s nice to finally hear from the adults in the room.

Right? What do the police know about public safety. And all those shop owners. What do they know about operating a business? And the 4000 neighbors who signed the petition. Why do they care if 7000+ cars a day cut through the side streets? Nobody knows anything except 100 or so nonprofit workers.
