In a way, Capital is like the Kamala Harris of 2028 lacrosse teams. November is going to be rough. Have a great day everyone!
They said the same thing about the 2026/2025 teams! Haha!

That's pretty dramatic. You mean a tough schedule in initial tournaments for a brand new team? So what. It's not that deep. Players and coaches aren't so dialed...

The only thing I can think is someone on the tournament side in scheduling got confused with Pride Red 2028s and their final ranking. Pride White is not the Pride A team--that is Pride Black for HS, and it's obviously not the same team as last year with 10+ former Pride Red girls now on Capital. That will not be a good experience for Pride White or their opponents and probably should be adjusted.

I think they are reworking it all now. The pools are still showing but there is no schedule. I am guessing pride white will be moved before the tournament actually happens.

It has to be hard as a parent to watch your team lose to a team while several top players are sitting on the sidelines because their rotation is over. Definitely do not see that happening with M&D, Hero, Yellow Jackets, LI Top Guns top players coming out in a one to three point game. Although it may be hard to watch the process works for recruiting for Capital. Most of the other teams play to win with less substitution and rotations for less skilled players. I watched a couple of the 2026 games. They tied 2 games they could of easily won if they just played to win instead of following the rotations.

yes it is hard but like they constantly say "trust the process"

27 Capital parent here. Yes, it is hard. They are not reaching kids how to compete. They are going for quantity of recruits not quality.

I don’t think you can really judge these as true games and have to think of them more as scrimmages. Coaches could have played different combinations of players that don’t play as much in certain games or “starters” don’t get as many runs in certain games. Gfy for capital tying hero’s in a scrimmage and losing to Skywalkers in a scrimmage. It will all shake out in the tournaments.

Honest question: Do the MD teams not split playing time equally? I think that is what you are suggesting, and I agree it would make a difference in real games where the "starters" on one side play more than the "starters" on the other side.

Agree that play days are not like true games but I was impressed with Capital’s play. Hero’s got out to a fast start but Capital never quit so hats off to them for hanging in there. I would think this boosts their confidence going into Fall tournament season.
