I 100% believe he did it. I’m trying to figure out if he used Juliana’s face instead of Christine to set the plot. That way Joe was going thinking it was Juliana. Also bc if Juliana was speaking to him on the phone, he noticed she had an accent

BB's biggest defense is that JPM is lying so she can get a super sweet deal to get out of jail. But in order for the jury to believe that, they would also have to believe that CB in fact invited JR over, and JR was in fact attacking her. I don't think a VA jury will buy that, but JPM is going to take A LOT of heat from BB's attys. She's not the sharpest tool in the shed, so she may not hold up well.

JPM is getting off far easier than I think is fair/just. She'll be out and living in Brazil after only 2.5 yrs in jail. They lured a completely innocent man into the home with the intent of killing him -- they just decided he had so little value that he could be killed in service of their affair. So very depraved. And of course, they terrorized Christine in the minutes before killing her. The planning, and the time they spent preparing for this farce... all minutes that JPM COULD have come to her senses and said ... hey, this is not right. But she didn't.... over all those days and weeks. It's so disturbing. 2.5 yrs is no where near enough for her even if she is testifying against BB. To me, 10 yrs is a minimum for her. But, that's not going to happen.

Maybe she's got a mouth on her and a bad attitude and she'll end up shanked in prison and never go home to Brazil.

BB was the mastermind. He is the husband, father and affair partner. He is the one that could have gotten a divorce and lived like 48% of people whose marriages don’t work out. He had every responsibility to take care of his wife and child and all he did was murder and let down. Juliana is an afterthought. She will live a miserable rest of her life, regardless of what happens, but Brendan is the one that really deserves to be taken down and be in prison for the rest of his life.

I don't believe that JPM is going to remotely pay for her crimes. For me she killed an innocent guy, and also aided in killing Christine. For me that is two counts of first degree murder and no amount of time would be enough for her to get out of prison. So I agree with you but I tend to think life without parole is far more fitting. Prosecutors take these plea deals all the time I am told. They need to insure that at least one person serves a long time and that their case nails that person. I still am choosing to focus on what I am hopeful about. I can also hope at the same time she leads an awful life, and that she comes back as a big bug in the next 30 lives... or roasts in hell...

The prosecution has submitted all its evidence for the case intended for trial. They are not seeking new evidence to use to prove Banfield guilty of the crime. They believe they have enough to win the case and have collected it and witnesses for the past couple years. So that when most prosecutions are ready to go to court they present that in discovery. At that point the defense only has as many changes and time that the judge feels fair... in this case she has ruled the date is final to start, and unless there is something new presented which the prosecution is not seeking because its important that a speedy trial happens because its to their benefit to do this than the defense has no grounds unless they find something new also in a rather extreme way then the judge wont rule on their behalf and they will have no choice to stall the court any longer, or ask for more mistrials. The defense has been given ample opportunities so far and the prosecution did not contest those extensions because they dont want to give the defense the ability to claim an unfair trial and contest if afterwards. So they are playing intentionally by the rules so when he is found guilty hopefully he wont ever get an appeal.

The prosecution team has forensic digital (both phone records and chat records) evidence that Joe believed he was communicating with Christine B for two or three weeks, even friend witnesses that Joe spoke of a couple that he was getting involved with the wife before that day. So he believed according to all these sources that he was going into a consensual adult role-play and I do mean role play date with this woman and that it was intended to be ongoing. He was not going there to harm her in anyway. It was a "fake" or role play date that he believed she wanted. He was NOT violent with women in real ways based on his past behavior. He was a role play person both in an adult way, and a larper and gamer and even did full dress up conventions and things. It was part of his personality and sexuality, a person that liked dramatics. So I knew him well and so what Brendan and the nanny did was not manipulate him well digitally and over the phone. I am also sure that he was an adrenaline junky and so for him just talking to people over the phone or online he might meet a woman for a playdate and not think it so strange for him. He took risks as a person being this kind of foolishly brave guy because his intent was always clear and so he let his guard down because he was a person who clear about who he was with everyone... a playful freak of a guy but a nice non violent man himself. If someone wanted him to dress as a WWWrestler he would have showed up in a wrestling suit, or wearing a batman costume.
