Sushi is awful. Most Americans did not eat this until it became fashionable.
The raw sushi gives you the worms, mercury.
The cooked sushi is junk like fast food. Dragon Rolls = California Rolls + Mayo + Shiracha.

There is a place for american cheese.

I agree, it is controversial to refer to Taco Bell as "food."

Agreed. Also, 2Amys. Who wants soggy charred pizza? How can it be soggy and charred?

I’m guessing you have never visited Naples.

Generally available mexican food is too onion-heavy and relies on onion for flavor. It might be a take-out phenom, or we just have bad places near us. Can't wait to get out and find better mexian.

I hated Red Delicious as a child in the 70s. Have probably eaten one -- under duress in an airport -- in 20 years. An absolute travesty of nature that is part of the reason many American kids do not like fruit.

Yes I said it. Fight me.

Several comment about Honeycrisp . . . originally the U of Minnesota held the patent (is that what they call it?) on the honeycrisp and only a few growers were allowed to grow it when it was released. Now they no longer control it, gave it to the public or some such, so any grower can grow them. That could be a reason for mediocre quality.

But I still love a real crisp Red Delicious, sneer all you want.

I won’t sneer, but I will grimace. I understand that decades ago Red Delicious actually tasted like something. That is not now. Mealy texture, almost no discernible flavor that I connect with an apple (and there are a lot of possible apple flavors), watery and sour/bitter.

Marshmallows are vile and taste like shipping crate packing filler.

How would you know that, lol?

That’s weird. It’s egg, oil and lemon juice. Basic ingredients you eat in all kinds of dishes all the time I bet. And it is oh so good on a meatloaf sandwich!

You've got to try Kewpie Japanese mayonnaise.
