Black man here: I hate the cancel culture and I also hate to see someone lose a successful career because of one mistake. HOWEVER, her actions (lying to the police) could've led to the death of the man at the hands of the police. If the officers were nearby, they would've come with guns drawn at the attacker and we know how that frequently ends. Those of you accusing him of wrongdoing would still be making the same arguments about why he was killed.

In this case, justice was served. I hope she can learn from this but I think her career is over. The position of VP at a Wall Street firm doesn't come up very often...especially during these times.

I had the same reaction. It’s funny that people are so put off by the treats. I read that and thought it was genius. Don’t want your dog coming up to me? Leash it!!
