There is less “elite of the elite” talent than a few clubs (FCV, McLean) but once you get past those 2-3 exceptional players the talent is the same, but the coaching is worse hence the poor performance on average. The coaching is not what you’d expect of ECNL level. I believe with the same set of players at most of the age groups, if you took the better coaches from the other clubs and had them coach Loudoun they’d consistently finish in the top 5 of each league age bracket vs. the bottom 5.
does Loser Soccer have a philosophy or is it more about sustaining the cash influx?
Don’t care if LS has an overall philosophy. I only care if my kid’s coach has one and if it’s useful. So far it isn’t. There’s talent on the team but it’s not being molded and grown. Unfortunately, the choices within reasonable distance are no better and I won’t subject my kid or my spouse to FCV’s toxic culture, so we stay here. My kid ain’t playing in the pros anyhow, and might still get some form of scholarship despite the poor coaching. But, if she doesn’t our 529 plan will cover. I think a lot of other LS kids/parents are in the same boat. I’d love to take over both LS and FCV, clean house of toxicity in the coaching and admin staff and take all the rich talent to a higher plane. But, alas I already have a full time job ... so I accept what it is.

I’m not sure if you’ve seen the other posters but it has been mentioned several times.
Just in your area alone you have several avenues besides the L$ and FCV toxicity.
Leesburg FC, Barça (rumors are flying about them leaving NoVa though), and VA Revolution.
Where there’s a will there’s a way. Do your child a favor and leave that marketing focused and facade style coaching club.

Anonymous wrote:So LS is so terrible. Which begs the question, why would “parents”, who have happily moved on, spend so much time gathering all these scores (for both boys AND girls AND EVERY age group) and keep posting over and over? And complain about how much coaches make? Or about the TD who at a big club most parents don’t even know?
Answer: They wouldn’t. Thanks coach.

Boys 07 (U14)
2 games (0-5 L and 3-6 L)
Boys 06 (U15)
2 games (0-4 L and 1-3 L)
Boys 05 (U16)
2 games (0-1 L and 0-0 D)
Boys 04 (U17)
2 games (1-2 L and 0-0 D)
Boys 03/02 (U18/19)
2 games (1-0 W and 2-3 L)
Girls 08 (U13)
2 games (4-0 L and 3-1 L)
Girls 07 (U14)

Girls 04 (U17)
2 games (1-0 L and 3-0 L)
Girls 03/02 (U18/19)
2 games (4-0 L and 5-0 L)
Total games combined: 24
Wins combined: 3 (12.5%)
Draws combined: 3 (12.5%)
Losses combined: 18 (75%)
Total Goals scored combined: 20 (0.83 per game)
Total Goals concedes combined: 63 (2.625 per game)
These are the stats for the start of the season for the top of the crop for Loudoun Soccer.
Virtually identical stats when looking at last years’ (entire year).
Which begs the questions:
What exactly-
A) is Loudoun Soccer doing keeping these coaches delivering next to nothing (at a rate of 30k/per team; some a bit more and some a bit less)?
B) are LS parents and fanboys/fangirls alike defending/boasting about?
Should we also talk about their other travel teams? Not sure these staffers and parents would like that...
Ex-Loudoun ECNL parent here. I doubt there is anyone in the soccer community that takes Loudoun’s ECNL teams seriously. As many posters have explained the coaches are mediocre at best. Recycling sessions and copying YouTube drill with no real purpose and clarity behind them.
Children of coaches, of friends, and of donors have a step ahead before anyone else. Doesn’t matter if that someone else is more talented and committed. Thus, we left. Best decision ever.

Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:The question was about FCV and VAR, but thanks for deflecting bud.
Historically FCV always beat and dominated LS when playing against each other. At least during the years my DD played.
As far as I’m concerned, VA Revolution is a club that’s growing so you can’t really expect to compare ECNL type teams when they’re not in that league.
Nonetheless, what has been posted here it seems that this club also beats and dominates LS. If Revolution were to ever attain a size and label with chances to bid for bigger and more competitive leagues then we the soccer community will have information to go on to establish comparisons.

Lolz u didn’t quote the scores... right.
Ok so uhm, I don’t give af about FCV or VA Revolution, you’re reflecting by saying I deflect. Mediocre attempt at reverse psychology.
But since you wanted to bring the heat and can’t withstand the smoke here you go:
FCV 04G in NCSL is playing LOUD 04G black on Oct 4th. We’ll make sure we post Loudoun’s loss when the scores are updated.
No other FCV teams plays LOUD in NCSL.
As for VA Revolution I stumbled across the following:
LOUD 10B white vs VRSC 10B black (draw)
LOUD 10B silver vs VRSC 10B gold (draw)
LOUD 09B silver 4-4 VRSC 09B gold (must’ve been a super fun game to watch)
LOUD 08B white vs VRSC 08B black (playing this Sunday 9/27 at 1:30 PM)
LOUD 07B white 2-7 VRSC 07B black (ouch)
VRSC 06B gold vs LOUD 06B white (playing this Sunday 9/27 at 6:00 PM)
VRSC 03B black 6-2 LOUD 03/02B black (ouch)
LOUD 09G white vs VRSC 09G black (playing on October 18 at 1 PM)
LOUD 09G silver vs VRSC 09G gold (playing on November 8 at 2:30 PM)
VRSC 08G black vs LOUD 08G white (playing this Sunday 9/27 at 1 PM)
LOUD 07G white 1-6 VRSC 07G black (lolz!)
LOUD 07G silver 1-5 VRSC 07G black (seems like there’s a pattern here)
VRSC 06G black 3-0 LOUD 06G silver (clean sheet)
LOUD 05G white vs VRSC 05G black (playing this Sunday 9/27 at 10 AM)
Now you can deflect all you want. These are just facts. Nobody cares about your feelings.
You’re kinda dim-witted aren’t you? The question was about growth, not wins. And I did not quote any scores. Think you’re confusing me with another poster. Anyhow, I am sure whatever you’re ranting about that you’re right.
I kind of feel sorry for you... you (attempt to) make a thesis about growth and not scores yet there is virtually no growth exhibited from last year to this year. Plateaued, stagnant, I would even dare to say decrease.
Once again, your feelings are irrelevant and borderline simplistic. I wouldnt even be surprised if you have low IQ. The messages posted here by different people are pretty clear but it’s palpable you lack reading comprehension skills. However, you remain adamant to keeping your useless emotions over factual evidence.
If I had to guess I’d bet money you also drive inside your vehicle with a mask and gloves on.
Wow, you are a true gem. You can't even follow the arguments from post to post. You just argued in favor of what I said with the no demonstarble growth. My IQ is quite high and no I don't wear masks and gloves in my car, but how is that even relevant? Once again you're demonstrating you're inability to stay focused. Can you say "ADD". I'm right, aren't I? It's fun toying with you and watching you rant. It's kinda like a cat toying with a little mouse. Meooowww.
