Wouldn't showing future Kate that imply she should stay at her set weight?
Huh? Not every single thing about Kate is about her weight.

Lorraine Bracco would have been funny.

I think they're setting up to be something that had a huge impact on Kate's life, and a 3 month relationship wouldn't have done that.
My guess is her family goes to "rescue" her at the cabin, she and Marc have made up, she pushes her family away. At some point months/years later Marc threatens suicide if Kate doesn't do what he want, she doesn't do it, and he goes through with the suicide. This is why Kate cannot stand up for what she wants/needs/deserves in a relationship.
I think mark rapes her. That would explain her emotional trauma and eating disorder.
This is what I think.
I Agree it is not over. My bet is that he physically harms her, then kills himself and blames her (either in a note or he tells her before he does it).
I wish I didn’t agree, but I do. Assault with or without rape.
Producers say that Marc is gone from the story from now. Let’s hope, and we’ll see.
Didn't Kate specifically link her eating/weight issues to her feeling like she caused her dad's death b/c of her dog? That would have been way back, but I feel like this is the case.
I think the Mark (I want to spell it Marc, sounds more douche-y) storyline was partly a plot to introduce the cabin to us as something that had been around for the family for a long time. Had we seen any explanation of it before this episode? I also think it was symbolically when the family re-forms after Jack's death.
