I believe that is coached for the girls to look to break lines.
Sometimes, but why coach to skip the midfield over and over? Instead, maybe coach the midfield and backline to better handle the pressure. It's a terrible trend and looks purely American to me. Every league I see outside of the US wants a strong and involved midfield.
I simply made the statement about breaking lines. I don't know how often the team did it that was watched. The teams I watch every day don't do that often, only as opportunities. The focus is on possession.

Oh, just wait on it. The Cup standings and tables are out.

DD played for a different age group to avoid him. Yeller, temper tantrums, bad role model. Don't give a crap if he thinks he's God's gift to ball mastery, there are plenty of better influences on a young girl. Where we are now there are lots of ex-JAs. It's not McLean, it's him. Why they keep him around is nuts.

Dilution is an issue but McLean and FCV in current form will continue to dominate. Others clubs, both weaker ECNL/DA clubs and independent clubs will suffer. McLean's 05 time was a disaster last year, finishing at or near the bottom of it ECNL division. They lost a group of players to WS VA and maybe Arlington yet the team picked up several strong players from independent clubs and is now a #2 seed in the ECNL playoffs while also wining the August Cup and finishing as runner-up to the top bracket at JeffCup. FCV 05 picked up some strong players from independent clubs. Those players also had access to WS VA yet selected FCV. I also know players leaving clubs like Bethesda for McLean.
I agree that dilution is real but McLean and FCV in their current respective forms will still offer more than other ECNL/DA programs, i.e. they will get the best of those looking for elite soccer.
Yawn. Past performance is no guarantee of future performance. My DD will do what is convenient and will get her seen — and that would have been FCV or Mclean 3 years ago, but it’s not anymore.
And it will NOT be Loudoun until there is a complete overhaul of staff there.
