Actually, ranter, I don't care for 45. However, I'd rather have 45 than someone who wishes to change the principles on which we were founded. We were not founded on socialism. We were founded as a republic that respected individual rights and freedoms. We were founded on freedom of religion, too. And, if you go back to the initial revolt, it was over taxes. Democrats want to change that.

Have mistakes been made? Sure. Slavery was the most egregious one--but, we had a war and changed that. Many Americans gave their lives in that war. Lately, we've made some other mistakes involving wars. Some poor decisions were made. Also, a law for health care was passed against the wishes of most Americans. And some Congressmen lost their jobs as a result of that passage. Some have come to support that law--many still resent the way it was done and the results that led to a big jump in health care costs. That still needs to be worked out.
