They bounce from the 60;'s to the 40's on the PMF. The schools that close usually average less than 35. They are not in danger of that.

SSMA's five-year review flags test scores and re-enrollment as concerns, but they seem to have been doing okay by their 2017 QSR. They just lost a lot of ground on their PARCC scores for the second year in a row, in particular a lot less 3-4-5s, which is what matters the most. I can see have already made a lot of waitlist offers and cleared the waitlists for some grades. So this does seem like trouble for their Tier and PMF score.

I don't wish any school ill, but I do think it is important that schools not get a pass because they have a more vocal and influential upper-income student body.

I'm so conflicted about this. I want the best for these families, but the incompetence of Dr. R will be the end of the school. I'm sure wherever the SSMA families wind up will be better for them in the long run.
