And we wonder why the world is irredeemable and the future is bleak for all our kids. Well done.

I am not Jewish but I don’t see how those two events together don’t create the perception of an anti-Semitic environment.
Eager to read whatever Nysmith has to say for himself as this develops.
Sorry but this is ridiculous. You want to avoid hanging a Palestinian flag to avoid “emotionally harming” Jews? Utter nonsense.

I can't imagine a school that has been around as long as Nysmith that would not be measured in its response when claims of anti-Semitism are made, especially in this political environment. Expelling the students seems like a radical thing to do - there must have been some reason. So - I take this complaint with a grain of salt and look forward to the school's side of the story before prejudging.

I’m sorry, did we read the same article??? The WaPo article does absolutely nothing to absolve the school, and in fact corroborates several of the allegations in the complaint.
In it, Nysmith HIMSELF admits that:
1. He refused to book a Holocaust speaker because of “the situation in Gaza”
So he did a bunch of BLATANTLY antisemitic stuff (I don’t see how you can claim #1 above is not antisemitic, even if you don’t believe any of the many other allegations)

In it, Nysmith HIMSELF admits that:
1. He refused to book a Holocaust speaker because of “the situation in Gaza”
2. The expulsion happened because, in a meeting, he asked the parents if they were calling him antisemitic and “they did not say no … They did not, and kind of muddled back and forth. At which point I said, ‘This meeting is over.’”
So he did a bunch of BLATANTLY antisemitic stuff (I don’t see how you can claim #1 above is not antisemitic, even if you don’t believe any of the many other allegations), and then when the parents had the temerity to question his highness, he instantly expelled all three of their kids. And then went and ADMITTED it all to the Washington Post.
Again, who are this man’s lawyers??? He is single-handedly costing this school its reputation, money, legacy etc. because he’s so utterly convinced of his own rightness. Just gross and such a waste.

For those of us who canceled our WaPo subscriptions in light of Bezos’ censorship perhaps someone could use a gift link or summarize what was said?
What did the parents do that makes them colossal bullies? What suggests they are misrepresenting what happened?
Nothing in that article suggests it. PP has decided, without evidence, that the parents are bullies and making a fuss over nothing. Suspect that has a lot more to do with PP’s world view than any facts of this incident.
