Now Crockett's voters will have to return in November and vote. I hope her first time voters do not become disillusioned and decide to sit it out.

I don’t think you know enough on this. Many people loved both candidates, but they had to choose so they went with whoever they felt spoke to them the most. Democrats in Texas are fired up and there’s no way they’re sitting this out.

Great to hear. You're right, I don't know, so yes, I am glad to hear that the Dems and hopefully Independents as well are fired up and ready to vote.

PP the online rhetoric does not match what is going on the ground in Texas. I’m not in Texas, but work with down ballot candidates running in Texas this year.

I don't see how that's going to stop him.

Would it be possible to sue to get him off the ballot if his current status makes him ineligible?

Can't he just resign as US Attorney? I thought the rule was that you can't serve in both executive and legislative branches at the same time. Is there some rule you can't also be a candidate?

If he signed up as a candidate while he was a political appointee of the administration he’s just as ineligible as if he was only 27 years old and shouldn’t be able to be on the ballot.

Alme resigned as US Attorney right before signing up as a candidate.

What a coward move! Coward move x2 - one for dropping out, two for trying to hand his seat off to a fellow Republican and keep the Dem out.

Senate Republicans are RUNNING SCARED!

Tester denies that he was ever going to run.

Daine’s excuse is BS. Tester told news it was BS and that none of the Dems were going to run. I believe Testera words were, “he F -ed his party.”

And the other major question is: Will Paxton's voters show up for Cornyn in November without Trump on the ballot?

Yes. The prediction is that if Cornyn is the candidate he will win.

Talarico is going to need to campaign with her and speak to her voters. Still might not be enough, but they are young and can keep working on it.

Trump is poised to endorse Cornyn for the Texas seat and Paxton says he will only get out if the Senate breaks the filibuster and passes the SAVE act.

Yes, there is a rule that you cannot be a candidate.

But the GOP doesn't believe in rules or laws, so unless someone sues, he will just be a US Attorney who is breaking the law.
