why would NVA girls move to VRSC? Delusional is an understatement. If NVA goes MLS next and have to remove ECNL those girls are flying to FVU, VDA or ARLINGTON before voluntarily demoting themselves to Rev

Yep. Or just stay with NVA/LS at that point before going to endure the 45 min parking lot wait.
A) still don’t think it will happen.
B) plenty of girls will stay if it does happen

So ECNL will keep this hardline stance even if it means their eventual demise? Maybe it’s how they save face and admit the boys’ side is lost.

If you think ECNL is in demise because NVA goes GA you are delusional. Other clubs will not have their girls be a sacrificial lamb for the boys. NVA may be the one exception…there will be a mass exodus of girls from NVA to the other ECNL clubs….

The boys are basically sacrificial lambs for the girls at ECNL clubs. The boys side has more money involved. It’s a logical conclusion.
the rev impact to a club for boys ECNL vs MSLnext is a wash. However GA vs ECNL will be a big impact. Clubs with ECNL will see a surge if loudoun is dumb enough to do this. In the big picture is LS is trying to mitigate competition from other clubs within footprint.

There is zero revenue impact if girls go ECNL to GA. Zero. The team fees and roster size will be the same. It might be different set of players but that does not matter as long as the rosters are full. A club the size of Loudoun Soccer will never have a problem filling up their rosters.

If vrsc grows over time, there could be enough critical mass for Loudoun to have troubles filling all their 6 teams per age group. If vrsc had eventually received mls next, that would have happened virtually overnight. This was Loudoun blocking that even at the cost of the girls side.

I heard talk of LS blocking ECNL for VRSC but I don't see how they could block MLSN when they aren't involved with MLSN.

That's VRSC default excuse whenever they don't get something they promised the parents. It's always because of Loudoun the boogeyman.

I wouldn't rule out those rumors. I would attempt to do the same if I ran LS to maintain a monopoly on ECNL in Loudoun county.

Yeah but maybe instead of it being LS's fault for VRSC never getting into ECNL, it could be that VRSC hasn't shown any reason for ECNL to let them in. Prior to the collapse of FCV, VRSC teams were filled by players of disgruntled parents from LS 3rd teams... Also didn't Rev just lose every single game they played at the VDA friendlies, Loudoun isn't always the ones at fault 🙄

Yes. And what’s better, they scored a grand total of zero goals in 6 games across the board

incorrect

Which part is incorrect? You don’t think LS would fill all their rosters if they were GA, or you don’t think the player costs would be the same? If both of those hold it’s simply math. No revenue impact
incorrect. Its a snowball effect. Older teams will suffer first as talent will leaves. Which then hurts the clubs rep. Which then hurts roster numbers to form additional teams. And they become a valor.

they are not separate entities - technically, legally, or any otherwise speaking. the checks go to and are cut from the same bank account any argument otherwise is simply a branding play.
we wont know. Simple google search and you will see loudoun got 501 status revoked and had to reapply. They didn't file 990 for 3 years! (They were approved for 2024) You cant use all sort of business tricks to separate units within entities
this actually true….. so they have to bring in $$$

Interesting. Now it makes sense why they were fishing for sponsors from the parents.
