This just doesn't stand to reason. There are girls getting recruited to top programs out of Florida, California, Colorado, Texas, without access to a top 40 club. Many of them play for known high schools, most private, some public. I just don't get this. Yes, M&D looks like it got all 22 girls recruited this year again, but there are 700-1000 D1 spots. Some will be helped by their HS coach and program reputation.
In an area where there are both strong clubs and strong high school programs, the overlap can provide a boost.
My DD played for Capital and is now with a top D1 girls lax program. Her HS coach played no role at all in her recruiting. The coach was irrelevant. Recruiting was done entirely through Capital. Were it not for Capital, none of it would have happened.
Good anecdote that in no way undermines the points it replies to. And congrats to your daughter. That is genuinely awesome! It's clear that Capital is doing good work on the recruiting front.

HS Coaches can help but not having a good/connected one does not hurt. But there are great HS coaches out there that do help asa supplement to club. KJ at SSSAS and MH at GC are good examples of those kinds of schools where your HS coach can play a role in your recruiting.

High schools have very little to do with recruiting. If a HS coach has a connection with specific college coaches, that can help. But college coaches rarely watch HS girls play because their seasons overlap. College coaches make most of their decisions during the club summer tournament season.
Agree. Unless the coach is Kathy Jenkins, Taylor Cummings, etc. School doesn't typically help you get recruited.
