Nice deflection and ending. GDS at its finest.
I just walked up the two blocks on Wisconsin people are focused on. Huge amount of traffic overall. Lots of cab drop offs and pick ups. Why aren’t you all ANC types going after that? Have you investigated taking can licenses away? What about Uber?
Even more funny: the big violator in terms of stops are the cars in front of the Brazilian Embassy army extension. Tons of cars. Hey ANC, when are you going to have a hearing about that? I mean, you need to protect our quiet on Wisconsin Avenue. I am worried about congestion. I want to hear hummingbirds in front of the Thai place!
Whataboutism again?
Do you teach your kids it’s ok for them to break their promises when other kids are breaking theirs? Where are those GDS values?

Also that map shows drop offs prohibited way beyond the immediate perimeter of the school. GDS is comfortable enforcing restrictions down to Albemarle street but not in front of its campus on Wisconsin.

It is true that GDS ignores the promise it made to BZA and DDOT in the CTR not to allow drop off on "any" public street. However, they do prohibit drop offs on a few public streets, so the poster who said nobody can do that should tell that to GDS.

Liar!!! The map is up and is accurate. You can drop anywhere except the streets on the immediate perimeter of school.
Nice try. To tell the truth, perhaps neither the school and the ANC had the common sense to realize that they cannot and should not seek to control where people drive. Under your view if someone drops at Target on WI that should be counted and prohbited. That is crazy for both GDS and the city.
I have seen this before. I know how this ends. Practice writing the following:
DC Treasurer $100.
DC will crack down and start writing tickets.
Wait, what is DC writing a ticket for? If it’s 8 am and I drop my kids off on Wisconsin ave northbound in front of comminikids, what would the ticket be for?
Okay have fun with your tin foil hat defense. The city can put up a traffic sign overnight. The thing is the police will slow write the ticket. So it’s $100 and 25-35 minutes of your time. Also they will give your name to the school. What are the penalties for breaking the enrollment agreement? The city has been doing this for years. It is something they have always been very efficient at.
Dropping off in the morning northbound on Wisconsin is OK. Dropping off southbound in the morning is not. Question is do any drop off and pick ups violate the agreement the parents make with GDS upon enrollment?

In what fantasyland do you think the city is going to install traffic signs to enforce some MOU with an ANC, and then that the police will actually enforce it. I can't remember the last time I saw a DC police officer doing any kind of traffic enforcement even for truly egregious violations like running red lights and excessive speeding.
+1. The ANC has lost any perspective. The residents of the neighborhood are concerned about a rash of car break-ins, thefts, assaults, not to mention the occasional gunfire. Where are the police for those? The ANC instead of directing law enforcement to violent crime, instead wants police to stop family cars on PUBLIC streets that appear to be dropping kids off to go to school. "Hey, what school does your kid go to? Jackson-Reed? Oh, never mind. Go on your way."
What an unbelievably stupid waste of police officers' time!

Be scared of the school, whose map specifically authorizes drop offs on Wisconsin? Be scared of the City whose agreement does the same thing?

On page 56 it goes into detail about how pickup-dropoff will take place on campus and to leave no doubt says
e. Under no circumstances will drop-off/pick-up be permitted on public streets.
f. All parents who must leave their vehicle to drop-off/pick up students during
regular drop-off/pick-up times, must park in a designated, on-campus parking
space. Parents using the drop-off/pick-up lanes must remain in their vehicles
and will drop-off/pick-up their student(s) when they stop in front of the school
Why didn't the HoS tell parents that that's the promise GDS made?
