This. Only reason having kids is manageable for me is that I have money to throw at babysitters and outsourcing. This way I can escape the constant noise and chaos and occasionally have some fun.

Having kids is just another form of work. Except now it’s optional with birth control.

It's this. Work without pay, and you can't quit.

I wanted to get married and have kids after college; unfortunately, guys my age did not agree. By the time I did get married at age 28, it was already too late for me to have kids.

But yes, they can get a younger and cuter barista abroad in a low cost of living area who thinks a guy making 100k is rolling in it. You're talking about your stereotypical US expat. Most of their relationships are hopeless and revolve around $$. Maybe you spent time in areas where expats and sex tourists congregate? They are somewhat gross, so I avoid those areas.

I'm talking about guys who are fluent, educated, well rounded, active, and mostly integrated into local culture. The latter can absolutely get women 10x better overseas, while the former likely isn't going to get much better than a gringo chaser.
