People in Russia are entirely brainwashed. I’m originally from there. My relatives in Russia saw those military resources moving in the direction of Eastern Ukraine with their own eyes - yet, they strongly believe that it’s Ukraine that plans to invade Russia, and Russia just wants to defend itself.Anonymous wrote:So in the last 24 hours, we learned nothing new: Putin's a liar. He lied and falsely claimed Ukraine was committing genocide and ethnic cleansing of Russians. He lied and said he's withdrawing troops. He showed his home audience fake videos showing troop withdrawals that aren't actually happening. Satellites and intel show that not only is he not withdrawing, he moved a number of military resources even closer. I hope his Russian constituents see through his lies. The rest of the world certainly does.

Let’s just hope Putin doesn’t invade when Joe is distracted by something more important, like lime jello or chocolate pudding for dessert.
I can understand not agreeing with Biden's policy choices. I cannot for the life of me understand having a strong emotional response to the man himself.
NP.
I do not have any emotional reaction to the president.
I am concerned he appears to be suffering from serious mental decline, and possible Alzheimer’s disease.

They shouldn't have to. They are a sovereign nation, they should have the freedom to whatever alliances they like.
BUT... If they were to agree to declare they have no intention to join NATO any time soon, they should put significant conditions on Russia in exchange for doing so.
Ukraine should demand that Russia declare the eastern rebellion come to an end, announce it returns under Ukraine control, they completely withdraw, stop supporting and funding it. And also put Russia on notice that the second that Russia tries to oppress or threaten Ukraine's sovereignty again, the deal is off the table and Ukraine's NATO membership gets immediately submitted.
My gosh. Y'all still don't get it. Ukraine will never get NATO membership unless it is willing to go to war with Russia. Ukraine's NATO membership is the red line for Russia. Putin clearly stated that.
Russia will leave troops at the border to make sure that never happens.
Unless it's willing to go to war with Russia? You seem to be missing historical context.
Ukraine is already ready to go to war with Russia. They have already been fighting a war with Russia in Donetsk and Luhansk since 2014.
You really thing NATO is willing to go to war with Russia for Ukraine?
Here's the thing - In 1994, Ukraine agreed to relinquish its nuclear weapons in exchange for the West giving them protection. The West has to keep its end of the bargain.

It will. Putin and his cronies will never go to open war with the NATO and jeopardize all those billions $$$ parked in nato countries.
The western banking system owns Putin.
It's the other way around.
