POLL
Q: "How much influence do you think parents of K-12 students should have over what schools teach?"
A: "Most or some":
Asian: 70%
Black: 67%
Hispanic: 67%
White: 75%
Suburban Women: 69%
A: "Not really":
Asian: 21%
Black: 22%
Hispanic: 27%
White: 19%
Suburban Women: 20%
Gee, that’s totally not a leading-question, is it?![]()
Garbage poll. Worthless.
Actually, this poll is explaining the state of Virginia right now. Education is the #1 issue for most of the electorate.
No, it’s the #1 issue for racists and fascists.
The rest of Virginia cares about REAL issues: climate change, equal rights for all genders, women’s health, immigrant rights, ending the culture of police violence, getting rid of guns, and righting all the wrongs of the past brought to us by white men like Youngkin.

Its the reason Youngkin is winning. Its everything.
I don’t think Youngkin has a lock on education. I’m very liberal and also agree that parents should have a strong voice.
But the biggest issue right now for parents is keeping kids in school while minimizing COVID exposure for unvaccinated kids.
Youngkin is dangerous because he will get rid of the mask mandates. That’s what’s keeping our unvaccinated kids in school. If Youngkin tosses the mandates, we will see more serious outbreaks in schools. That is a fact. Which means more school closures.
Youngkin has embraces the loudest, most hysterical, and most extreme anti-mask parents. No way in hell do I want those parents setting policies for my kids.
I've listen to him many times and at no point he embraced them. Contrary, he listened to all of the parents, quiet, silent, loud. He listened to what issues Virginians have. McAuliffe was deaf to his constituents.
Here’s Youngkin’s press release, siding with the anti-mask extremists. This is my major education issue, tons of other parents too.

Thank God for Youngkin sanity on this issue.

VA has a lot more Republicans than ÇA. But enthusiasm doesn’t tell the whole story. I think Macca pulls it out, but it will be close.
The California recall had Elder as an opponent. His own 20 years of crazy ideas sunk his campaign. McAuliffe trying to tarnish Youngkin with the same brush isn't working.
California also is almost entirely democrat.
No, it’s not. Not even close. Why do you say things that are so clearly demonstrably false?

Apparently you haven’t noticed that COVID is not one of the driving issues in this election. Maybe where you live, but education and economy are the top two issues for the electorate in Virginia.
COVID IS AN EDUCATION ISSUE. If there’s a serious outbreak, the schools will close. I don’t need the nut bag anti-mask parents running the show, because they will f#ck it up for the rest of us who are being careful.
